CCIEE Signs MoC with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade

On the afternoon of May 9, 2017, Zhang Xiaoqiang, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of CCIEE, and Jiang Zengwei, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) signed the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) at CCPIT. In order to realize complementary advantages and resource-sharing as well as ensure a healthy development of China’s economic and foreign trade development, the two sides decided to signed the MoC and conduct systematic cooperation.

                   

Zhang Xiaoqiang noted that as a national high-end think tank, the focus of CCIEE’s researches is to serve the major decision-making process of the CPC (Communist Party of China) central committee and the state council of China. The main activities of CCIEE are opening-up and international exchanges. CCIEE has made great achievements in such areas as important foreign economic and trade relations, the building of the Belt and Road, and create new mechanisms of opening-up. Apart from that, CCIEE has also built several platforms for international exchanges, such as the China-US Business leaders and Former Senior Officials Dialogue, China-Japan Business leaders and Former Senior Officials Dialogue, and the Global Think Tank Summit. CCIEE is willing to strengthen cooperation with CCPIT, share research findings and make intellectual contribution jointly to China’s further opening-up.

                   

Jiang Zengwei pointed out that apart from its advantages in identity and organizational structure, CCPIT also has great connection with industrial and commercial circles at home and abroad. Therefore, CCIEE and CCPIT will be able to provide enterprises with different intellectual services in the aspects of international trade and investment, domestic and overseas markets, business and legal affairs. As an excellent platform, CCIEE can disseminate China’s viewpoints to the rest of the world and enhance China’s influence on international trade and economy.

                   

Zhang Yongjun, Deputy Chief Economist, the heads of the strategic research department, economic research department and the institute of innovation at CCIEE, Yin Zonghua, Vice Chairman of CCPIT and others were also present at the signing ceremony.
