Deputy Chief Economist Meets with Micheal Kovrig of International Crisis Group

On May 23, 2017, Xu Hongcai, Deputy Chief Economist of CCIEE, met with Micheal Kovrig, Senior Advisor for North East Asia at International Crisis Group (ICG). Staff from the information department, department of external affairs and department of economic research were also present at the meeting.

Micheal Kovrig introduced the background and operation of ICG, saying that as a global NGO, ICG attaches great important to Asia-related researches, especially China. He hopes that ICG can have further exchanges and cooperation with CCIEE. Xu Hongcai expressed his support for cooperation between the two organizations. They also exchanged their views on the Belt and Road and issues concerning North East Asia, the US and North Africa.
