CCIEE Signs MOU of Long Term Cooperation with French Institute of Sustainable Development & International Relations (IDDRI)

On July 9, 2010, Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, met with Laurence Tubiana, Director of French Institute of Sustainable Development & International Relations. On behalf of respective organizations, the two signed a MOU of long term cooperation. Also at the signing ceremony were Tancede Voituriez, Director of Global Governance of IDDRI , Xu Chaoyou, Deputy Director General of the Department of External Affairs and Zhang Yongjun, Researcher of the Department of Research of CCIEE.

Mr. Wei said that the signing of the MOU lays an excellent foundation for long term strategic cooperation between the two organizations in the future. Ms. Laurence Tubiana pointed out that both CCIEE and IDDRI have important recourses so they should strengthen exchanges and cooperation.   

The MOU has established a mechanism for stable cooperation on sustainable development, global governance and other political and economic issues between CCIEE and IDDRI. The two sides should draw on their respective strengths and conduct long term academic exchanges and cooperation.
