Vice Chairman Zhang Dawei gave a comprehensive introduction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt from five aspects, namely, an overview of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the deployment and progress made by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, the relationship between the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the opening up, as well as the difficulties and challenges facing the establishment of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Moreover, he interpreted the guiding ideology of “working together on environmental protection and do not engage in large-scale development” and the importance of handling the “five relationships” properly in order to promote the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

Many questions were raised by the participating reporters from different presses, including Japan Kyodo News, Lianhe Zaobao, Korean Central News Agency and so forth. CCIEE Vice Chairman Zhang Dawei and the Chief Researcher Zhang Yansheng answered all the questions one by one.
