CCIEE Holds Press Conference for the Annual Meeting of China's Economy

On January 6th, 2012, CCIEE held a press conference announcing that the Annual Meeting of China’s Economy (2011-2012) will be held on January 14th, 2012, at the convention center of the Beijing International Hotel.

With the theme of Facing Challenges and Seeking Innovative Development, the meeting is aimed to analyze the complicated and volatile international economy, discuss new situations, problems and changes of China’s economy. Besides, the meeting is also expected to produce proposals for China’s economic mode transformation and promoting steady and rapid economic and social development.

Representatives from government organs, academia, corporations and media are expected to attend the meeting and conduct in-depth discussion on burning economic issues. The meeting consists of one main forum, Facing Challenges and Seeking Innovative Development, and three sub-forums, Facing Challenges: Seeking New Breakthrough for World Economic Development, Innovative Thinking: Promoting Sustainable and Steady Economic Development, and Accelerating Economic Mode Transformation and Innovative Development.

The Annual Meeting of China’s Economy is a high-end event hosted by CCIEE every January. By analyzing domestic and international economies and elaborating the Central Economic Working Meeting, the meeting is expected to offer suggestions on China’s Macroeconomic policies and achieving steady and fast economic development. The Annual Meeting of China’s Economy (2011-2012) will combine the international economic trend with the fundamental of the Central Economic Working Meeting, which is making progress while ensuring stability, to conduct in-depth discussion on how to strengthen and improve macroeconomic regulation. The meeting will also help to realize the goal of sustainable economic development through steady economic development, price control, economic adjustment, improving people’s well-being, promoting reform and a harmonious society.
