Wei Jianguo Addresses 2009 Sina Golden Unicorn Forum

On October 27, 2009, Wei Jianguo, CCIEE Secretary General, attended the "2009 Sina Golden Unicorn Forum" at Kerry Center, Beijing. The theme of the forum was "China and Global Financial Changes." Wei delivered a closing address entitled "The Counter-measures & Outlook of China's Financial Sector in the Post-crisis Period".
While praising the extraordinary performance of China's financial sector during the financial crisis, Wei also called attention to the challenges facing China's financial sector in the post-crisis period, such as risk control, internal management, product innovation, and customer services. Meanwhile, he pointed out that in the post-crisis period, China's financial sector needs to focus on innovation, strengthen supervision, improve the system of incentives and restraints, and adopt a more critical approach when learning from other countries.
After the forum, Wei discussed the present international economic situation with Mr. Cao Weiguo, CEO of Sina Group, and Mr. Liu Erfei, President of Merrill Lynch (China).
