CEO of The Economist Group Visits CCIEE
- Time:2009-11-03
On November 3, 2009, Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, met with Mr. Andrew Rashbass, CEO of The Economist Group. Wei extended his welcome to Rashbass and his colleagues and introduced the mission, scope of businesses and development of CCIEE. Rashbass affirmed the importance of CCIEE and gave a brief introduction of The Economist Group.
Since the prevailing view in some corners of the world is that China is a threat, a resource exploiter, or a neo-colonist, Wei said, China should adhere to the principles of deepening reform, mutual benefit and peaceful development, and maximizing China and other countries' comparative advantages in resources and markets.
Rashbass and Wei agreed that, based on their comparative advantages, the Economist Group and CCIEE have broad areas of cooperation. They agreed to further discussion on consulting, training, information exchange, and conference organization.
