CCIEE Released "CCIEE-SJTU Global Shipping Prosperity Index"

　　CCIEE released the "CCIEE-SJTU Global Shipping Prosperity Index" at a press conference on the morning of February 26, 2010, at the China Millennium Park, Beijing. Zheng Xinli, Permanent Vice Chairman of CCIEE, attended the press conference, and Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, chaired the conference.

　　Highlighting "CCIEE-SJTU Global Shipping Prosperity Index," Zheng delivered a keynote speech entitled "CCIEE Research Findings Release & CCIEE-compiled Five Indices." Zhang Xiang, former Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Standing Director of CCIEE, and Director of the "CCIEE-SJTU Global Shipping Prosperity Index Research Group," gave a speech entitled "The Significance of CCIEE-SJTU Global Shipping Prosperity Index for Establishing an International Shipping Center." Zhao Yifei, Professor of Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, made a presentation called "The Development, Interpretation and Economic Significance of CCIEE-SJTU Global Shipping Prosperity Index." Jia Dashan, a Research Fellow at the Research Institute of Water Transport at the Ministry of Transport, delivered a report entitled "Trend Analysis of 2010 International Shipping and Industry Responses."

　　About 140 representatives from the shipping and other relevant industries, news media, CCIEE members, enterprises, research institutes and universities attended this press conference. At the Q & A session, the audience had a lively discussion with the speakers. Also at the conference were staff from the research department and information department of CCIEE.
