CCIEE Hosts Delegation of The Nature Conservancy

On January 13, 2010, Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, met with a delegation headed by Zhang Xingsheng, Director General of North Asia Region of The Nature Conservancy (TNC).

Zhang Xingsheng introduced The Nature Conservancy and its main projects in China, and expressed hopes to strengthen exchanges between international NGOs and China. Wei highly praised the positive role TNC has played in protecting ecological balance. He said that there is huge potential for cooperation between TNC and CCIEE, particularly with regard to climate change, low-carbon economy, and resource conservation. They agreed to maintain close contact and to further explore possible cooperation.
