Wei Jianguo Meets with Australian Delegation

　　On the afternoon of December 11, 2009, Wei Jiangguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, met with Mr. Bob Baldwin, member of the Australian House of Representatives and advisor of Australian International Trade Association (AITA), and Mr. Michael Guo, CEO of AITA. Xu Chaoyou, Deputy Director General of the Department of External Affairs of CCIEE, also attended the meeting.

　　Wei extended warm welcome to the Australian delegation and acknowledged AITA's support for and contribution to bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Baldwin thanked Wei for meeting with him, saying that Australia and China should, on the basis of equality and mutual respect, strengthen communication and take full advantage of the opportunities brought about by the current global financial crisis to enhance bilateral trade and economic ties. Mr. Michael Guo briefed Wei on the mission and services of AITA, which he hoped would be an effective platform for exchanges and cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries.
　　The two sides also discussed personnel exchange and other issues.
