Wei Jianguo Attends 5th Asia Economic Summit in Singapore

　　On December 7, 2009, Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, attended the 5th Asia Economic Summit in Singapore. He delivered a speech entitled "Cooperation in Green Recovery" and answered questions from the attendees. Many delegates were favorably impressed by Wei' speech and expressed interest in establishing contact with CCIEE.

　　During the summit, Wei met with Zheng Yongnian, director of the East Asian Institute at the National University of Singapore. The two had an in-depth discussion on how think tanks can better serve government and society. Wei also met with Zhang Xiaokang, the Chinese ambassador to Singapore. Wei briefed Zhang on the founding of CCIEE, its scope of businesses and organizational structure, events organized by CCIEE and its short-term plan. Zhang pledged assistance to CCIEE in various aspects.
