Permanent Vice Chairman of CCIEE Visits Tianjin Eco-city

As invited by Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Administrative Committee, permanent vice chairman of CCIEE, Mr. Zheng Xinli led a team of 14 senior staff visited Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city on August 31, 2009, to research and improve the development planning of the Eco-city. He lifeng, who is the deputy secretary of Tianjin municipal party committee accompanied Mr. Zheng and his team. Later on, representatives from both sides attended the signing ceremony of Sino-Singapore Eco-city and CCIEE Strategic Cooperation Agreement.
CCIEE team conducted a field trip at the construction site of the Eco-city, industrial park and the workers living quarters. After that, they went to the Binhai District Planning Exhibition Hall, Eco-city sewage treatment plants, and investigated the current status of sewage treatment and associated costs. CCIEE team was given an introduction of the Eco-city, its development strategies and other relevant issues.
Mr. Zheng Xinli chaired a meeting with the expert team. An in-depth discussion and study were conducted regarding the following issues: industrial development orientation, selecting and nurturing the leading industry, as well as ecological environment of the Eco-city. Zheng Weiming, the deputy-director of Binhai District, Cui Guangzhi, the deputy director of the Sino-Singapore Eco-city and others accompanied Mr. Zheng Xinli and his team during the field trip.
