CCIEE Secretary General Meets with the Executive Director of China-Britain Business Council

On the afternoon of August 5, 2010, Mr. Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, met with Mr. Nick Thomas, Executive Director of China-Britain Business Council (CBBC). Also at the meeting were Ms. Zheng Qian, Assistant Director of the Membership Department, Ms. Zhang Yuanyuan, Manager of the Events and Conference Department at the British Chamber of Commerce in China (BCCC), and Mr. Cai Xiaofeng, Deputy Director General of the Consulting Department at CCIEE. 

Mr. Wei spoke highly of Mr. Thomas’ longstanding effort to promote China–Britain trade relationship and introduced CCIEE’s background, features, scope of businesses, research, exchanges and other activities. 

Mr. Thomas appreciated Mr. Wei for the meeting and introduced CBBC and BCCC. Previously, CBBC has done some Chinese market research for British SMEs, it has a close tie with the British government by providing them with better consulting services. CBBC organizes several “Go abroad” events to help Chinese enterprises understand British investment policies and environment better.
