As Chinese high-tech and Internet companies such as Huawei and Tik Tok develop rapidly and become powerful competitors of the United States, the United States has abused national power to suppress these companies. During their recent fact-finding trip to TikTok’s headquarter, researchers of CCIEE felt the huge potential of Chinese companies. The next step is to accelerate the cultivation, promotion and protection of the core competitiveness of these enterprises, and firmly grasp the initiative in the competition between China and the United States in the high-tech field.

Research Report 2020 71st Issue: Policy Recommendations on Dealing with Corn Price Rise - 2020-12-11
[Abstract]Since the beginning of this year, domestic corn prices have continued to rise, which has attracted wide attention. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the corn market, the research team of CCIEE conducted a fact-dinging trip to Jilin Province, China’s second major corn-producing province. The team believes that the price increase is due to the decline in inventory and the rebound in demand. In the short-term, there is still room for the price increase but in the long-term this is not the case. Farmers are optimistic about the price trend, but deep-processing enterprises are under great pressure to make a profit. We need to closely follow the market trend, make plans and adjustments accordingly.
