Zheng Xinli Meets With the Founder of the Nicolas Berggruen Institute

On the afternoon of February 17^th, 2011, Mr. Zheng Xinli, Permanent Vice Chairman of CCIEE, met with Mr. Nicolas Berggruen, founder of the Nicolas Berggruen Institute. Also at the meeting were Mr. Nathan Galder, Senior Advisor of the Institute, Mr. Zafaruddin Mahmood, CEO of the Punjap China Bureau, government of the Punjab province, Mr. Wang Xianlei, Deputy Director of the Research Department, Mr. Xu Chaoyou, Deputy Director of the Department of External Affairs and Mr. Niu Tiehang, Editor-in-chief of the Globalization magazine.

Mr. Berggruen thanked Mr. Zheng for arranging the meeting and introduced the Nicolas Berggruen Institute and the 21^st Century Council. He hoped to conduct joint research on international economy and strengthen cooperation with CCIEE.

Mr. Zheng gave a brief introduction of CCIEE and its recent works. Also, he spoke highly of the 21^st Century Council and agreed to enhance exchanges and discuss potential cooperation with the institute.
