CCIEE Chairman Meets With the Delegation of the Pacific Council on International Policy

On April 6, 2011, Zeng Peiyan, Chairman of CCIEE, met with the delegation of the Pacific Council on International Policy (the council), led by Dr. Jerrold D. Green. The two sides exchanged views on issues of common interest.

Zeng Peiyan extended his warn welcome to the delegation and spoke highly of the achievements the council has made in strengthening  leaders’ leadership in various industries, and public and private sectors decision-makers’ understanding of international development trend, as well as promoting international dialogues in politics, economy and social issues. He hoped CCIEE and the council could strengthen cooperation and exchanges in the future. Moreover, the Chairman introduced the background, nature, functions and funding of CCIEE, and expressed his views on such issues as inflation, the US QE monetary policy.

Dr. Green expressed his gratitude to the Chairman for the meeting, and stressed that the Sino-US relations is the most important bilateral relations. Also, he said that the council will continue to promote communication and understanding between the two nations. At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and keep close contact in the future.
