Zeng Peiyan Meets With the Delegation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

On May 18, 2011, Zeng Peiyan, Chairman of CCIEE, met with the delegation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZAR) headed by Guo Shengkun, Secretary of the GZAR Party Committee, and Ma Baio, Chairman of GZAR Government, and agreed to serve as advisor of the GZAR Consulting Committee.

Zeng Peiyan said that GZAR is the bridgehead of China’s West Regions Development Project as it faces the Beibu Gulf and is close to the middle-west region. It has great strategic significance and obvious geographic advantage. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to this region. Ten years after launching the West Regions Development Project, the economic development of GZAR has achieved great success under the leadership of the GZAR Party Committee and Government. It has sound layout of industrial pillars, clear development plan, and very encouraging prospect. By undertaking strategic cooperation with GZAR, CCIEE will offer intellectual support and consulting services for GZAR development plan, so as to promote its sound and rapid development.

       

Guo Shengkun pointed out, talents and scientific plan are the key for GZAR to achieve significant improvement in its economy and people’s livelihood. However, talents are what GZAR needs most at the moment. With Mr. Zeng Peiyan as advisor and CCIEE as partner, there will be significant momentum for GZAR economic development. GZAR will continue to strengthen its strategic cooperation with CCIEE, and promote scientific, harmonious and leapfrog development continuously.    

At the presence of Zeng Peiyan, Guo Shengkun, Ma Biao and other officials from GZAR, Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, and Lin Nianxiu, Vice Chairman ofGZAR , signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement.

Also at the signing ceremony were, Executive Vice Chairman Wang Chunzheng and Permanent Vice Chairman Zheng Xinli of CCIEE, Vice Chairmen Li Jinzao and Yang Daoxi of GZAR.
