Ambassador Andre Correa do Lago Meets with CCIEE Researchers

On the afternoon of September 5, 2011, Ambassador Andre Correa do Lago, Director of the Department of Environment and Special Themes of the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil, visited CCIEE and held a seminar with researchers from CCIEE and Tsinghua University. 

Mr. Lago briefed on the main standpoint of Brazil in the Global Climate Change Negotiation. Both sides exchanged opinions on such issues as global situation of climate change and carbon emission reduction, domestic and international CDM, the status quo and prospect of different strategies and their impacts on tackling climate change in developed and developing countries.

The seminar was chaired by Mr. Xu Chaoyou, Deputy Director-General of CCIEE Department of External Affairs. Also at the seminar were Mr. Antonio Freitas, Secretary of the Brazilian Embassy in Beijing, Ms. Yu Yuqing, Senior Analyst of Climate Change Policy Research Institute in Tsinghua University, Mr. Zeng Shaojun, an expert of Climate Change and New Energy Issues and Associate Researcher of CCIEE, Associate Researchers Dr. Zhang Huanbo and Dr. Huang Zhilong from the Department of Research, Ms. Li Sai from the Department of External Affairs.
