Wei Jianguo Meets With Former President of U.S.-China Business Council

On Dec.11th, 2012, Mr. Wei Jianguo, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CCIEE met with Dr. Robert Kapp, former President of U.S.-China Business Council and strategic advisor of Burson Marsteller. Mr. Xu Chaoyou, Director-General of Department of External Affairs at CCIEE and Ms. Li Luosha from the magazine Globalization(a CCIEE publication), were also at the meeting.

Dr. Kapp gave a brief introduction to the work he has done after retiring from the Council. He said he would redouble his efforts to help Chinese investors in the U.S. 

Mr. Wei thanked Dr. Kapp for the significant role he has played in enhancing the ties between the Chinese government and the US government, as well as the commercial sectors and NGOs. He added that Chinese enterprises can reap great benefits by investing in the U.S., and professional advice from experienced consultant like Dr. Kapp could bolster their chance to succeed.

Both sides agreed to build a long-term cooperation mechanism and maintain close contact to facilitate Chinese investment in the U.S.
