The 7th Annual China-US CEO and Former Senior Officials’ Dialogue is to Open

To be convened in Beijing from 17 to 18 September 2015, the 7th Annual China-US CEO and Former Senior Officials’ Dialogue (“Track II” Dialogue) will discuss the economic situation in China and the United States and bilateral trade and economic relations. Participants will include Mr. Zeng Peiyan, Chairman of CCIEE, Mr. Thomas Donohue, President and CEO of the US Chamber of Commerce (USCC) and CEOs, former senior officials and noted scholars from both sides.
A press conference is scheduled after the meeting to announce the achievements and consensus reached by the two sides during the 7th meeting.
Co-hosted by CCIEE and USCC, the “Track II” Dialogue aims to build an open platform for the business communities of China and the United States to exchange views and ideas. The previous six sessions were held successfully in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 in Beijing and Washington respectively, at which the two sides had candid discussions on a wide range of issues, including the new model of major-country relationship, hotly debated economic issues like interest rates, the prospect of China-US business partnership, Chinese and US trade and investment policies, bilateral infrastructure investment, the establishment of a China-US free trade area, bilateral investment treaty, economic situation of the two countries, bilateral business relations, reform, innovation and two-way investment, the realization of free trade and investment within APEC, etc.
