CCIEE Chairman Zeng Peiyan Meets with Former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda

On the afternoon of October 9, CCIEE Chairman Zeng Peiyan met with former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda and the President of the Japanese Business Federation, Hiroaki Nakanishi. Zhang Xiaoqiang, Executive Vice Chairman and Wei Jianguo, Vice Chairman of CCIEE, were also present at the meeting.
Zeng Peiyan said that CCIEE and the Japanese Business Confederation have successfully held three Japan-China CEO and Former Senior Officials’ Dialogue, which has achieved important results. The Chinese and Japanese companies have reached a number of cooperation agreements and the dialogue has become more influential. In the early days of China’s reform and opening up, Japanese companies gave strong support to China’s modernization and development. Hopefully, the dialogue will become a great opportunity for Chinese and Japanese companies to continuously deepen cooperation and exchanges.
Yasuo Fukuda noted that the dialogue has gained constructive achievements and improved the Japan-China relations since it was launched a few years ago. The participants have fully used the dialogue to further strengthen communication and enhance understanding, laying a good foundation for cooperation between the two countries.
Hiroaki Nakanishi said that it is very important to conduct cooperation with Chinese enterprises, and hopes to jointly develop third-party market cooperation with Chinese enterprises.
