CCIEE Holds 2nd General Meeting & 2nd Meeting of the 1st Board of Directors

On January 14, 2010, CCIEE held its 2^nd general meeting & 2^nd meeting of the first board of directors. Zeng Peiyan, Chairman of CCIEE, Tung Chee-hua, Jiang Zhenghua, Tang Jiaxuan, Xu Kuangdi, Advisors of CCIEE made important speeches at the meeting.

Zheng Xinli, Permanent Vice Chairman of CCIEE, reviewed the works CCIEE did from 2009 to 2010 and introduced the work plan of 2011. Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, chaired the meeting. Zhang Xiaochong, Deputy Secretary General of CCIEE, delivered reports on CCIEE Membership Fee Collection Standard and CCIEE Financial Revenue and Expenditure. Also, the enlarged lists of CCIEE First Board of Directors and Executive Chairmen were passed by all the participating representatives. 

In his speech, CCIEE Chairman Zeng Peiyan pointed out that CCIEE will conduct in-depth investigation and research based on the prominent problems in economic development, and deep-rooted problems in the economic system. Moreover, CCIEE should serve the Party Central Committee and the State Council by providing sensible and practical policy recommendation and reform plan. The researchers of CCIEE ought to gradually form its unique analytical tools, mathematical models and working procedures during their research process, and hence to make their research findings more precise and effective. By doing so, CCIEE will become more influential and make itself a more prestigious think tank. In terms of external cooperation, Zeng said that CCIEE will further strengthen communication with Chinese and international think tanks, governments and enterprises, in order to make more friends and enhance information-sharing. To promote  interactive and positive relations among governments, industries and researchers, and provide a platform for cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and foreign companies, CCIEE will continue to organize various seminars and conferences such as the Monthly Economic Talk, Global Think Tank Summit, and economic, trade and investment symposium. At the end of his speech, Zeng noted that the Research Department and Consulting Department of CCIEE should strengthen communication with the Council Units, to understand their needs, improve service consciousness and quality, so that we could make CCIEE a highly-effective, flexible, and influential consulting and research organization.

At the end of the general meeting, participating directors also gave their suggestions on future development of CCIEE.
