CCIEE Holds 31st Monthly Economic Talk

On January 11^th, 2012, CCIEE held the 31st Monthly Economic Talk at China Millennium Monument, under the theme of Financial System Reform. Mr. Cao Wenlian, Deputy Secretary General of CCIEE, chaired the talk.

According to the 4th National Conference on Financial Work, which was held recently, Mr. Zheng Xinli, Permanent Vice Chairman of CCIEE,  shared his understanding of the financial system reform for the next stage, mainly in five aspects, relaxing financial market access, strengthening and improving financial regulation, establishing deposit insurance system, facilitating interest rate liberalization and reforming foreign exchange management system. Zhang Jianhua, Director-General of the Research Bureau of the People’s Bank of China, Wei Jianing, deputy Director-General of the Macroeconomic Department, Development Research Center of the State Council, Ding Zhijie, Dean of the School of Finance and Economics at the University of International Business and Economics, and Guo Tianyong, Director of the Research Center of Chinese Banking at the Central University of Finance and Economics, shared their analysis and views on reform and development of China’s financial industry, the focus and difficulties in China’s financial system reform, adjusting China’s foreign financial policy, and how finance serve real economy.            

In the Q & A section after presentations, the speakers answered various questions from the audience and press. Also attended the talk were staff from the research department, research & consulting department and information department of CCIEE, member companies of CCIEE, other research institutions and media.
