CCIEE Holds 30th Monthly Economic Talk

On December 26^th, 2011, CCIEE held the 30th Monthly Economic Talk at Beijing Media Hotel, under the theme of Boosting Consumption & Transforming Economic Development Mode. Huang Hai, member of the CPPCC Economics Committee and former Assistant Minister of Commerce, chaired the talk.

Guest speakers gave their speeches respectively based on the strategic deployment, the economic mode transformation and current consumer consumption trend. Fan Jianping, Chief Economist of the State Information Center, and Dr. Xu Wei from CCIEE, offered their suggestions and opinions on how to further expand consumption. Nie Meisheng, President of China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce, and Xu Changming, Director of the Information Development Department, State Information Center, presented their analysis of consumption trend and relevant policies in the real estate and automobile industries. Qu Futian, deputy Director of Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission, introduced the economic development in Jiangsu province and the Doubling Residents’ Income Program.

The speakers also answered various questions from the audience and press. Also attended the talk were staff from the research department, research & consulting department and information department of CCIEE, member companies of CCIEE, other research institutions and media.
