CCIEE Holds 27th Monthly Economic Talk

On September 20, 2011, CCIEE held the 27th Monthly Economic Talk at Beijing Media Hotel, under the theme of Establishing An Innovative Country: the Importance, Role and Incentive Mechanism of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs). Mr. ZHENG Xinli, Permanent Vice Chairman of CCIEE, chaired the talk.

Li Baomin, Director of the Economic Research Center, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, elaborated a document entitled Suggestions on Strengthening Technological Innovation Among Central Government Owned Enterprises, which was issued by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) in June, 2011. Zhou Huan, former President of Datang Telecom Technology and Industry Group, and Tang Tao, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety at Beijing Jiaotong University, gave talks on China’s R&D in TD-SCDMA R&S, innovation on high speed railway technology and system integration. Also, they made recommendations on how to further promote technological innovation. Chen Yongjie, Deputy Secretary General of CCIEE, introduced CCIEE’s latest research findings on enterprises innovation, systematically explained the necessity of policies such as “Fair Competition” and “Investment in Science and Technology system reform”, and relevant policy suggestions.

In the Q & A section after presentations, the speakers answered various questions from the audiences and presses. Also attend the talk were staff from the research department, research & consulting department and information department of CCIEE, member companies of CCIEE, other research institutions and media.
