CCIEE Holds 22nd Monthly Economic Talk

On April 20^th 2011, CCIEE held the 22nd Monthly Economic Talk at Beijing Media Center, under the theme of Analysis of 1st Quarter Domestic and International Economies. Cao Wenlian, Deputy Secretary General of CCIEE, chaired the talk.

Wang Jun, Deputy Director-General of the Research & Consulting Department at CCIEE, Yao Guimei, Researcher of the Institute of West Asian and African Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Rikuichi Niikawa, Chief Representative in Beijing, Bank of Japan, Zhou Wangjun, Deputy Director-General of the Price Department, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and Gu Yuanyang, former Director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics, CASS, delivered speeches. The speakers gave comprehensive analysis of the current world economy and Chinese economy, in particular, they summarized the feature and possible risk of Chinese macroeconomy. The analyses also included impact caused by the recent earthquake in North-East Japan and the situation in North Africa to world economy. Furthermore, the speakers gave policy recommendations on how to conduct macroeconomic adjustment amid the current global economy.  

The speakers answered several questions from the attendees, including staff from the research and information departments of CCIEE, member companies, enterprises, research institutions and presses.
