CCIEE Holds 4th "Monthly Economic Talk"

On October 21, 2009, CCIEE held its fourth "Monthly Economic Talk" at China Millennium Park, Beijing, under the theme "Policy Options to Boost Domestic Demand". Mr. Liu Kegu, Deputy Director of CCIEE Academic Committee, chaired the talk. Mr. Zheng Xinli, permanent Vice Chairman of CCIEE and Deputy Director of the Economic Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), delivered a speech entitled "Parallel Improvement Is Fundamental for Boosting Domestic Demand." Mr. Huang Hai, a member of the CCIEE Academic Committee and the CPPCC Economic Committee, also made a speech called "Some Thoughts on Expanding Consumption".

More than 120 people attended the talk, including members of CCIEE, senior managers of large enterprises, journalists, scholars and researchers from various institutions.

In the Q&A section, the three experts had an in-depth discussion with the audience regarding expanding consumption, balancing development, system innovation and regional integration.
