CCIEE and AERC Carry out Online Exchanges

In the afternoon of July 22，CCIEE held an online meeting with African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), which is headquartered in Kenya.

The two sides briefed each other on basic information, major research outcomes and activities of international exchanges respectively. AERC expressed the willing to cooperate with CCIEE, and said that it is influential in most areas of Africa as it has actively participated in international exchanges and cooperation, accumulating rich experience in personnel training. CCIEE was happy to explore cooperation with AERC in areas like co-hosting international think tank forums, launching joint research and carrying out exchange visits. The two sides agreed to continue the exchanges and further cooperation.

Attending the meeting were Zhang Yongjun，CCIEE’s Deputy Chief Economist, Xu Chaoyou, Head of CCIEE’s External Affairs Department and Sun Kui, Director of Think Tank Exchanges Division of CCIEE’s External Affairs Department; Njuguna Ndung’u, Executive Director of AERC, Abebe Shimeles, research director of AERC and Dianah Muchai, research manager of AERC.
