Wei Jianguo Meets with WWF China Country Representative

On October 20, 2009, Mr. Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, met with Mr. Dermot O'Gorman, China Country Representative of the WWF (World Wildlife Fund). Mr. Wei commended the WWF for its contributions over the years to environmental protection, new energy resources, species conservation, and climate change.
Mr. O'Gorman praised CCIEE for playing a crucial role in strengthening exchanges among international think tanks, and he hoped to have more cooperation with CCIEE in various areas in the future. O'Gorman also congratulated CCIEE on its successful organization of the Global Think Tank Summit in early July, during which he had an in-depth discussion with Mr. Wei regarding new energy resources.
Mr. Wei met with a WWF delegation on July 27, 2009. Lilin, director of strategy of the WWF, briefed Mr. Wei on the progress and plans of WWF. Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in Africa, Latin America, Asia and other regions.
