Wei Jianguo Meets with Director General of WWF

On November 11, 2009, Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of CCIEE, met with James Leape, Director General of WWF, at Beijing Hotel. Wei extended his welcome to Leape and explained in detail China's policies and goals regarding climate change.
Leape thanked Wei for meeting with him. He also praised China for taking up responsibilities in addressing climate change and for taking actions to reduce carbon emission and save energy. He said that WWF will introduce to the rest of the world China's accomplishments and practices.
Wei proposed to cooperate with WWF in environment protection, climate change, and personnel training. Leape also briefed Wei about the "China Leads the World" project.
